The first step in Milkify’s caloric fortification program is a free consultation with our medical team.
They will ask questions about your baby’s health, and will also ask for your baby’s healthcare provider’s information.
Milkify strongly believes that full provider involvement and transparency is critical to ensure the safety and efficacy of using freeze-dried breast milk for caloric fortification.

Baseline and freeze-dried breast milk samples are analyzed for macronutrient levels (calories, carbs, fats, and proteins). Our medical staff uses these results to develop a targeted recipe for caloric increase (for example, fortifying a 20 kcal/oz. baseline up to 24 kcal/oz.). Nutritional analysis results and caloric fortification calculations are shared with your medical provider.
The fortification recipe is customizable according to the individual needs of your baby as determined by their healthcare team. Milkify's staff works closely with you and your care team to ensure your baby's needs are being met.
